With Moana killing it at the box office and interest in the latest Disney heroine at an all-time high, I have been getting a bunch of emails asking if/when/where Moana will be appearing at Disney World for meet n greets. Here is what I was able to find out:

The good news is that Moana is already at Disney World. She is currently set up for meet n greets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream attraction. If you are not overly familiar with Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream is located in the Animation Courtyard in the back of the park just before Toy Story Mania (map). In addition to meeting Moana, visitors to this attraction can also watch a special 10-minute sneak peak of the movie in its theater (through December 4th).

Update 2022: With the dust settling a bit from the turmoil caused by the global health scare, many of the face characters at Disney World are settling into their new norm. Moana is now part of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade (mini parade) at the Magic Kingdom. At various points throughout the day, the cavalcade follows the normal parade route from Splash Mountain to the end of Main Street USA.

It is also worth mentioning here that construction is well underway on the new Moana-themed Journey of Water attraction in Epcot. While there has been no mention of characters being part of this attraction, logic tells us that if Moana is to get a more permanent spot in the parks to meet guests, this is as good a spot as any.

Update 2023: Disney just announced that Moana will be getting her own full-time Disney World meet and greet! Beginning April 22, 2023, Moana will be greeting visitors at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park in the Discovery Island area. This will undoubtedly be a popular park attraction as her park appearances thus far have been very sporadic.
