Disney’s Latest “As Told by Emoji” Short is DuckTales!

The Disney hype machine is ramping up in advance of the season kickoff of the new DuckTales cartoon on September 23rd. The pilot for the DisneyXD 90’s reboot has already had close to 3 million views on YouTube and you can’t watch a Disney Channel very long with out seeing a commercial for the show. The latest installment of DuckTales mania is pretty awesome. They have given DuckTales the oh-so-cute “As Told by Emoji” treatment.




Disney Signs Multi-Year Agreement With Distributor Vivicast Media

Disney announced today a new multi-year agreement with Vivicast Media, a leading global content licensor, which will allow Vivicast to continue to deliver Disney’s robust lineup of top quality sports, news and entertainment content to their roster of video operators that deliver content to TVs, computers, smartphones, tablets, and streaming devices throughout the US. The new deal will allow Vivicast to add a few additional features to their Disney content viewers that had previously been unavailable.



Disney/ABC Hosts Day of Giving to Benefit Hurricane Victims

In addition to the $1 million cash donation and a dollar for dollar employee donation match commitment that Disney/ABC made to hurricane Harvey relief efforts on Tuesday, the media giant is also hosting a “Day of Giving” event today, August 31st to help those impacted by the storm.

Disney Earns an Impressive 52 Emmy Nominations

The Television Academy announced the 2017 Emmy Awards nominees yesterday and the Walt Disney Company was more than represented across a number of categories. Disney’s media networks, including ABC, ESPN and the various Disney channels, earned 52 nominations lead by ABC’s Dancing with the Stars (7 nominations) and The Oscars (6) and ESPN’s O.J.: Made in America (6).



Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Blu-Ray Release Date Announced

Disney has announced the upcoming release date for the Blu-ray and DVD of Star Wars Rebels Season 3. Both will be released on August 29th.

Hoops Insider Adrian Wojnarowski Joins ESPN

Big news came down today for Disney’s struggling ESPN franchise as they scored a pretty serious NBA pickup. The sports conglomerate was able to pry NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo Sports. Woj had been with Yahoo for almost a decade, where he was the editor of the NBA-focused “The Vertical.”
