Disney announced today that they will be reporting their financial results for Q4 2017 on November 9, 2017 at 4:30pm EST. The results will be announced via live audio webcast.
Of course, Disney earnings releases are important to more than just investors in the company. Fans should be interested in Disney’s performance as well. The company is a sum of all of its parts, and if one part of the company does or doesn’t do well, there are ripple effects throughout the company. As has been the case with past quarters, the heaviest focus will likely be on Disney’s television properties and ESPN in particular. It will be interesting to see if their subscriber decline has bottomed out and if the massive staffing cuts they made at ESPN has made a difference in the bottom line.
Also interesting will be to see what impact Irma made on parks revenue for the quarter as they were forced to shut down their largest property for two full days and had sizable drops in attendance on both ends of the storm.
Of course, I will be posting the Disney Q4 2017 earnings highlights when they are released. For past tallies, please see my Disney Revenue statistics post.
