About Magic Journeys

Magic Journeys was a 3D film attraction that was shown at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California from 1984 to 1986. The film was produced by Walt Disney Productions and was directed by Murray Lerner.

Magic Journeys was a groundbreaking attraction for its time, featuring 3D technology that was relatively new to theme parks. The film took guests on a whimsical journey through a colorful world filled with music, animation, and special effects. It featured a catchy theme song, “Magic Journeys,” which was written by the Sherman Brothers, who were famous for their work on classic Disney films like Mary Poppins.

The attraction was shown in the Tomorrowland Theater, which was later renamed the Magic Eye Theater when it began showing Captain EO. Magic Journeys was later replaced by the 3D film, Captain EO, which starred Michael Jackson and was produced by George Lucas and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

Although Magic Journeys had a relatively short run at Disneyland, it was well-received by audiences and is still remembered fondly by many Disney fans today. The film was later shown at other Disney Parks around the world, including Walt Disney World in Florida and Tokyo Disneyland in Japan.
