Millennium Village - Extinct Disney World AttractionMillennium Village was a temporary pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. It was part of the Millennium Celebration, which took place from October 1, 1999, to January 1, 2001, commemorating the turn of the millennium.

The concept behind Millennium Village was to showcase cultures, traditions, and innovations from various countries around the world. It was designed to be a global village, featuring exhibits and displays from more than 30 countries, regions, and territories.

Inside Millennium Village, guests could explore interactive exhibits, learn about the cultural heritage and achievements of different nations, and experience traditional performances and demonstrations by artisans from around the world. The pavilion aimed to promote global understanding and celebrate the diverse cultural tapestry of humanity.

One of the highlights of Millennium Village was the Global Neighborhood, a collection of pavilions showcasing countries and regions with displays, artwork, and artifacts reflecting their unique histories and contributions to the world.

While Millennium Village offered a fascinating and educational experience for guests during the Millennium Celebration, it was a temporary addition to Epcot’s World Showcase and closed after the celebration ended on January 1, 2001. Some elements of the pavilion were integrated into other parts of Epcot or repurposed for other events, but the dedicated Millennium Village pavilion itself was removed.
