“Nation on Wheels” is a song from the former Disneyland attraction, the PeopleMover. The PeopleMover was a slow-moving transportation system that allowed guests to sit back and relax while they toured Tomorrowland.
The attraction featured a narration by actor Jack Wagner, who described the sights and sounds of Tomorrowland as guests rode the PeopleMover. “Nation on Wheels” was one of the songs that played during the ride, and it was meant to capture the feeling of being part of a bustling, futuristic society.
The song was composed by George Bruns, who was a frequent collaborator with Disney during the 1960s and 1970s. Bruns also composed the music for other Disneyland attractions, such as “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Haunted Mansion”.
