The film is a package feature, consisting of two animated shorts linked together by live-action segments featuring ventriloquist Edgar Bergen and his puppet Charlie McCarthy. The song “Say It with a Slap” is featured in the second segment, “Mickey and the Beanstalk”, and is performed by the giant’s henchman, a character named Willie the Giant, voiced by Billy Gilbert. In the song, Willie sings about the importance of using physical force to solve problems and make a point.
