Disney Honors Their Longest-Serving Employee

Disney honored animator Burny Mattinson’s on June 4th, his 65th anniversary with the company. Mattinson is officially the longest-serving employee of Disney having started his career as a traffic runner in the studio lot in 1953.

Over the years, Mattinson’s has been involved in some of Disney’s most ionic films including Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty and Big Hero 6. He was the writer, producer and director of The Great Mouse Detective. He has spanned a number of generations of Disney animators, beginning with the famed Nine Old Men, working as an assistant to Disney legend Marc Davis.
