Disney Becomes Uniform Sponsor of the NBA’s Orlando Magic

Disney announced today that it will become the official uniform sponsor of the NBA’s Orlando Magic. What this means is that, beginning this upcoming season, the Magic will display a small Disney logo on the front left of the players’ jerseys opposite the Nike logo.

You may recall that the NBA approved corporate sponsor logos on team uniforms last year with the 2017-18 season being the setting for the pilot program. The Magic join a growing list of teams that have been able to sell their available sponsorship space which includes teams such as the Boston Celtics (General Electric), the Brooklyn Nets (Infor), the Sacramento Kings (Blue Diamond Almonds) and the Philadelphia 76ers (StubHub).

To celebrate the new agreement, Disney released this cute video of Mickey Mouse shooting hoops with Magic star Aaron Gordon at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Not a bad alley-oop duo. Have a look:
