“Jungle Book” joins Disney films “Captain America: Civil War” and “Zootopia” to accomplish such a feat in 2016. Both of those movies went on to clear $1 billion as well.

With “Finding Dory,””Pete’s Dragon,” “Dr. Strange,” “The BFG,” “Moana” and “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” all slated to be released by the end of the year, it is likely that Disney will have 4, maybe 5 billion dollar movies in 2016. Not too shabby.

Disney has already announced a sequel to “The Jungle Book” is in the works.
