Happy Birthday Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

It’s hard to believe, but today, Disney’s Animal Kingdom turns 18. The newest of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks, and the world’s largest theme park in the world (by acreage), opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998.

After 18 years, the old park is more popular than ever with new hours, new attractions and new restaurants about to open next month and a massive Avatar Land slated to open next year.

Happy birthday Animal Kingdom. Looking forward to many more enjoyable visits for years to come!
