avengers infinity war box officeEarlier this year, the entertainment world was buzzing about the announcement that Marvel’s mega-hit Black Panther broke the company’s record for ticket pre-sales in the first 24 hours, besting the amount sold for Captain America: Civil War in 2016. According to Variety, movie ticketing company Fandango has reported that Marvel’s next installment of the Avengers franchise, Avengers: Infinity War, has broken Black Panther’s pre-sales record. Infinity War tickets went on sale last Friday (3/16) and it only took 6 hours to do so.

Obviously, this news bodes well for Marvel, as it potentially sets the company up for their second billion dollar movie of 2018 and for Disney overall, who has a chance to have a strong year at the box office similar to their amazing record-breaking run in 2016.
