New Port Coming to Tokyo DisneySea Feat. Frozen, Tangled & Peter Pan

Published on 6/15/18 by Craig Smith

Disney has announced what they are calling the largest expansion ever for Tokyo DisneySea. They will be adding an 8th Port to the park which will include Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan theming as well as a new deluxe hotel which will be connected to it.

This expansion is slated to take place in 2022, so this is more of a heads up than anything at this point.

The new port will include four all-new attractions. Here are some brief descriptions of what Disney’s Imagineers have in mind for these new lands and attractions (source):

Tokyo DisneySea Frozen landNew Frozen Land:

Guests will discover the kingdom of Arendelle after the events in “Frozen,” once the kingdom has opened its gates to visitors. A heartwarming new attraction will take guests by boat to experience the story of Elsa and Anna while enjoying iconic songs from the hit film, and a new restaurant will be located inside Arendelle Castle.

New Tangled Land:

Another new area will invite guests into the charming forest where Rapunzel’s tower awaits. Guests can board gondolas for a romantic tour of Rapunzel’s “best day ever” as she journeys with Flynn to the lantern festival for an unforgettable finale. Also on the menu is a restaurant inspired by the hideout of the humorous band of thugs in the movie.

Tokyo DisneySea Peter pan land

New Peter Pan Land:

Neverland will come to life for guests, including Captain Hook’s pirate ship and Skull Rock. The area will feature two new attractions and a restaurant inspired by the Lost Boys hideout. In the first attraction, guests will fly over the jungles of Neverland with Peter Pan to rescue Wendy’s younger brother, John, in a battle with Captain Hook. The second attraction will immerse guests in the world of Pixie Hollow where Tinker Bell and her fairy friends live.

New Deluxe Hotel:

A new deluxe resort hotel will also open inside Tokyo DisneySea as part of this latest expansion plan. Themed to Disney fantasy, the hotel will rise above and around the magical springs of the new themed port, featuring 475 deluxe and luxury guest rooms, two restaurants and a merchandise shop.

Of course, this Tokyo Disney Resort expansion is well off in the future at this point, so there are bound to be further developments as time passes. Be sure to stay tuned as I will be adding updates as more news about this amazing project breaks.
