Could a Popular Epcot Attraction be on the Way Out?

Last Updated on: February 12th, 2019

It has been long-rumored that Disney has been looking for a way to bring more rides and large attractions to Epcot. The overwhelming success of the Frozen ride in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion, may have added some momentum to this movement.

Our friends at WDW News Today are reporting today that Disney is seeking a permit to move a drainage canal behind Epcot’s Universe of Energy Pavilion, where the popular Ellen’s Energy Adventure is housed. The thought here is that the re-routing of the canal will enable Disney to enlarge the pavilion and build a larger attraction on it.

The WDW News Today article has some great images of the area in question as well as a more technical breakdown of what Disney may be doing there. It is definitely worth a read.
