Selfie Stick Shuts Down Disney Roller Coaster

The Associated Press reported today that the California Screamin’ roller coaster ride at Disney California Adventure was forced to close for a brief time Monday because a rider pulled out a selfie stick.

You may remember that this is the same ride and similar scenario that prompted Disney to ban selfie sticks in parks last year. It is Disney standard procedure to halt rides anytime a selfie stick is taken out.

The good news is that, aside from riders being stuck on the ride for about 20 minutes, it was only a minor disruption and there were no injuries. No word on what happened to the rider with the selfie stick.

Seriously people, leave the selfie sticks at home. The pic aint worth it!
