Finally! The Iconic Talking Skull Returns to the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride

Last Updated on: May 26th, 2023

The skull was a dominant feature of the ride prior to the big refurbishment project in 2006 that incorporated characters and elements of the movie series into the attraction. There hadn’t been too much buzz about the skull coming back, so this is a very nice surprise. Apparently, the skull’s return is tied into the new Pirates of the Caribbean PhotoPass feature I reported about a few days ago.

It isn’t 100% the same as the old, but the skull is back for a new generation of Walt Disney World Visitors to enjoy!
