Who is Beta?

Beta is a minor character in the 2009 Disney-Pixar animated film “Up.” He is one of the talking dogs that Carl Fredricksen and Russell encounter on their journey to South America. He is a member of the pack led by Alpha, who is the main antagonist of the film. Beta is portrayed as a loyal and obedient follower of Alpha, but is not as aggressive or menacing as his leader. He is voiced by actor Delroy Lindo in the original version of the film.
