Captain Amelia is a fictional character from the 2002 Disney animated film Treasure Planet. She is the captain of the R.L.S. Legacy, a ship that embarks on a journey to find the legendary Treasure Planet. She is a strong, capable and experienced leader who commands the respect of her crew. She is also known for her adventurous spirit and her determination to find the treasure at any cost. She is voiced by actress Emma Thompson. Treasure Planet is a science fiction film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film is a science fiction adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Treasure Island.
