Who is Darby Steel?

Darby Steel is a character from Disney and Pixar’s animated film Lightyear, which explores the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the legendary Space Ranger.

Darby is a seasoned, no-nonsense former convict with a background in explosives and engineering, who becomes an unexpected member of Buzz’s makeshift team as they face various challenges together. Although she may seem gruff and rough around the edges, Darby’s resourcefulness and grit make her a valuable and reliable ally. Her character brings humor, wisdom, and a unique perspective to the team’s dynamic.

Darby Steel is voiced by actress Dale Soules, known for her role as Frieda Berlin in Orange Is the New Black.
