Who is Pawbert Lynxley?
Pawbert Lynxley is a character in Zootopia 2 (2025). He is the youngest member of the powerful and prestigious Lynxley family – a Canada lynx born into one of Zootopia’s oldest founding clans. Initially introduced at the “Zootenial Gala,” Pawbert appears shy and eager to fit in, described as the “easy-going runt” of his family.
However, as the story unfolds, Pawbert becomes a pivotal secondary antagonist. Though he befriends the film’s protagonists, he ultimately betrays them – poisoning one of them, stealing a crucial anti-venom pen, and abandoning them in a life-threatening situation. His betrayal is driven by desperation to prove his worth to his family and secure their respect.
The character is voiced by actor/comedian Andy Samberg. Samberg – best known for his work on television comedy, including “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Saturday Night Live” – lends Pawbert a deceptively charming voice that masks the character’s darker motivations and inner conflict.
