Who is Roger Rabbit?

Roger Rabbit is the titular character from Disney’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), a groundbreaking film that blends live-action with animation.

Produced by Walt Disney Studios under its Touchstone Pictures label, the movie is based on Gary K. Wolf’s 1981 novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit? and directed by Robert Zemeckis. Set in a whimsical 1940s Hollywood where animated characters (referred to as “Toons”) and humans coexist, Roger Rabbit is a comedic, anthropomorphic white rabbit with a bow tie, blue overalls, and a flair for slapstick antics.

Roger is a toon movie star framed for the murder of Marvin Acme, the owner of Toontown, and seeks the help of detective Eddie Valiant to clear his name. Roger is characterized by his zany personality, unshakable optimism, and undying devotion to his glamorous wife, Jessica Rabbit. Despite his klutzy nature, Roger’s heart and loyalty make him a beloved character.

In the film, Roger Rabbit was voiced by Charles Fleischer, who brought the character’s high-energy personality to life. Fleischer even physically acted out some of Roger’s scenes on set to help the live-action actors interact with the animated character.

    • Living with the Land may not be EPCOT’s loudest attraction, but few rides capture the original spirit of the park better. In this video, we take a deep dive into the history of The Land pavilion and the boat ride that began as Listen to the Land before evolving into the attraction Disney World guests know today. We’ll look at how the ride was created, its original scenes and narration, the changes that transformed it into Living with the Land, and the working greenhouses that make it unlike almost anything else at Walt Disney World. Along the way, we explore the innovative growing techniques Disney has demonstrated over the years, the attraction’s connection to EPCOT’s original mission, and why this quiet boat ride has managed to survive decades of major changes around it. For longtime EPCOT fans, Living with the Land is more than a relaxing break from the crowds — it is one of the strongest remaining links to the EPCOT Center that opened in 1982. Disney World GeoGuessr Challenge | Can You Guess the WDW Ride from a POV Image?
For 50 years, one stretch of Bay Lake shoreline has had one of the strangest histories anywhere at Walt Disney World. It began in 1976 as River Country, Disney World’s first water park and a rustic swimming hole filled with slides, beaches, rockwork, and filtered Bay Lake water. After closing in 2001, Disney did something unusual: it left much of the park standing, allowing nature to slowly reclaim the abandoned attractions. Nearly two decades later, Disney finally demolished River Country to build Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge. Construction began, the old water park disappeared, and then the pandemic brought the project to a sudden halt. For years, the site sat behind construction walls as another unfinished chapter in the property’s history. Now Disney is trying again. Disney Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open in 2027 with nearly 1,000 rooms, Disney Vacation Club villas, waterfront Lake Houses, restaurants, pools, and even a lazy river — bringing water attractions back to the former River Country shoreline more than 25 years after the original park closed. In this video, we trace the complete story of River Country, its years as an abandoned Disney ghost town, the rise and fall of Reflections, and the long-awaited rebirth of Bay Lake as Disney Lakeshore Lodge. Would you stay at Lakeshore Lodge, or do you still wish River Country had survived?
