Who is The Bonecruncher?
The Bonecruncher is a character from Roald Dahl’s children’s book “The BFG,” which was adapted into a Disney film of the same name, “The BFG,” directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 2016. The Bonecruncher is one of the giants in the story.
In the film, the Bonecruncher, played by Daniel Bacon, is portrayed as a menacing and larger-than-life character who, like other giants, prowls the night in search of human “beans” to eat. However, unlike the story’s protagonist, the Big Friendly Giant (BFG), who is gentle and kind-hearted, the Bonecruncher is one of the child-eating giants who pose a threat to the story’s young heroine, Sophie.
The Bonecruncher’s character is known for his love of crunching bones, which is how he got his name. He is part of a group of giants that includes the Fleshlumpeater, the Bloodbottler, and others, all of whom are considerably larger and more dangerous than the BFG.
