The Gizzardgulper (The BFG)Who is The Gizzardgulper?

The Gizzardgulper is a character from Roald Dahl’s children’s book “The BFG,” which was adapted into a Disney film of the same name, “The BFG,” directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 2016. The Gizzardgulper is one of the giants in the story.

In the film, the Gizzardgulper, played by Chris Gibbs, is portrayed as one of the child-eating giants who reside in Giant Country. Similar to the other giants, the Gizzardgulper is considerably larger than humans and has a voracious appetite for children. He gets his name from his habit of devouring children’s gizzards (the edible inner lining of the stomach).

Unlike the BFG (Big Friendly Giant), who is kind-hearted and refuses to eat children, the Gizzardgulper is one of the menacing and dangerous giants who pose a constant threat to the story’s young heroine, Sophie, and other children.
