Alberto Scorfano (Luca)
Last Updated on: November 15th, 2024
Who is Alberto Scorfano?
Alberto Scorfano is a major character in the 2021 Pixar animated film Luca. He is a confident, adventurous, and free-spirited sea monster who befriends the film’s protagonist, Luca.
Alberto lives on the surface in an abandoned tower near the Italian seaside town of Portorosso. Unlike Luca, who is initially cautious and hesitant about the human world, Alberto is eager to explore it and constantly encourages Luca to join him on various adventures.
Alberto serves as a mentor and best friend to Luca, helping him embrace his curiosity about the surface world. Together, they dream of owning a Vespa and traveling the world, and their friendship is central to the film’s theme of self-discovery and overcoming fear. Alberto’s boldness often masks his vulnerability, as he struggles with feelings of abandonment and loneliness after being left by his father, who went away and never returned.
Alberto is voiced by actor Jack Dylan Grazer, known for roles in films like Shazam! and It. Grazer’s energetic and emotive voice performance brings Alberto’s fearless yet sensitive personality to life, making him one of the most beloved characters in Luca.
