Who is Ellie Mae?
Ellie Mae is a character from the 1977 Disney animated film “The Rescuers.” She is a mouse who lives in the bayou with her husband, Gopher, and is friends with the main characters, Bernard and Bianca, who are rescue mice. Ellie Mae helps Bernard and Bianca on their mission to rescue a kidnapped orphan girl named Penny. She is known for her southern accent and her catchphrase “Oh my stars and garters!”
