“The Rescuers” is an animated adventure film released by Walt Disney Productions in 1977. It is the 23rd film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

The movie follows the story of two mice, Bernard and Miss Bianca, who are members of the Rescue Aid Society, an organization of mice dedicated to helping those in need. They receive a plea for help from a young girl named Penny, who has been kidnapped and taken to a remote swamp in Devil’s Bayou by a greedy woman named Madame Medusa.

Madame Medusa wants to use Penny to retrieve a valuable diamond called the Devil’s Eye from an old shipwreck. Bernard and Miss Bianca set out on a dangerous and exciting adventure to rescue Penny and save her from Madame Medusa’s clutches.

During their mission, they encounter various challenges, including a group of friendly swamp creatures who help them on their quest. The film is filled with heartwarming moments, action-packed sequences, and memorable characters.

“The Rescuers” was well-received by both audiences and critics and remains a beloved classic among Disney animated films. It was followed by a sequel titled “The Rescuers Down Under” in 1990.
