Who is WALL-E?

WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class) is the titular character of the 2008 Pixar animated film “WALL-E.” He is a small waste-collecting robot who is left behind on Earth after humanity has abandoned the planet and is covered in garbage. He has developed a personality and has become lonely, but he continues to do his job, and over time he has accumulated a collection of trinkets, including a small plant. He lives a simple but fulfilling life until he meets a sleek and advanced robot named Eve and they embark on a journey to find proof of life on Earth and bring it back to mankind. WALL-E is known for its cute, curious and strong willed personality, and his ability to feel and understand human emotions despite being a robot. He was voiced by sound designer Ben Burtt.
