Who is Dr. Cornelius Evazan?

Cornelius Evazan is a character from the Star Wars universe who appears briefly in the original Star Wars film, now known as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. He is a male Human and is often referred to as “Dr. Evazan.”

In the film, Evazan is a notorious criminal and thug who is wanted by the authorities for his numerous crimes. He is known to have altered his face and voice with extensive plastic surgery, giving him a grotesque and intimidating appearance.

Evazan is first seen in the Mos Eisley Cantina on the planet Tatooine, where he and his associate Ponda Baba confront the young Luke Skywalker and his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi. When Luke tries to defend himself, Evazan pulls out a blaster and prepares to shoot him, only to be stopped by Kenobi’s lightsaber. In the ensuing scuffle, Ponda Baba’s arm is severed by Kenobi’s lightsaber, and Evazan is knocked unconscious.

Despite his limited screen time, Evazan is a memorable and often-referenced character in the Star Wars franchise, known for his menacing appearance and his association with the criminal underworld.
