Who is Anxiety?
Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, is a new character introduced in “Inside Out 2,” the sequel to the popular animated film “Inside Out” by Pixar. In the original film, the story revolves around the five core emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust—inside the mind of a young girl named Riley. These emotions guide her through life’s challenges and experiences.
In “Inside Out 2,” Anxiety joins this ensemble of emotions, reflecting Riley’s growing complexity as she navigates adolescence. Anxiety represents the feelings of worry and apprehension that come with new experiences, changes, and uncertainties typical of the teenage years.
