Who is Aunt Spiker?
Aunt Spiker is one of the two cruel aunts in James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.
She, along with Aunt Sponge, takes care of James after his parents’ tragic death. Both aunts are abusive and exploit James, making him do all the work around the house. Aunt Spiker is depicted as tall, thin, and sharp-featured, with a mean and selfish personality.
In the 1996 stop-motion and live-action film adaptation of James and the Giant Peach, Aunt Spiker is portrayed by actress Joanna Lumley.
