Big Mama is a fictional character in the 1981 Disney animated film “The Fox and the Hound“. She is an owl who is a friend of Tod, the fox, and Copper, the hound. She acts as a mentor and guide to the two young animals, and is the one who teaches them about the realities of life in the forest. Big Mama is voiced by Pearl Bailey in the original version of the film.
