Who is Boris?
Boris Hauntley, often referred to simply as Boris, is a character in the Disney Junior animated series “Vampirina.” The show, which premiered in 2017, is based on the children’s book series “Vampirina Ballerina” by Anne Marie Pace.
Boris is the father of the main character, Vampirina, or “Vee” for short. He, along with his wife, Oxana Hauntley, and their daughter, moved from Transylvania to Pennsylvania, where they run the Scare B&B (Scare Bed & Breakfast), a bed and breakfast for visiting monsters.
Boris is known for his friendly and caring personality. He is a supportive and loving father who is always there for Vampirina as she navigates the challenges of fitting in with her human friends in Pennsylvania. Boris often helps Vampirina and her friends with various magical and spooky situations that arise.
One of the running gags in the show is Boris’s penchant for telling tall tales, particularly about his past adventures in Transylvania. These stories add humor and a sense of whimsy to the series.
