Who is Carey Martin?
Carey Marie Martin, portrayed by Kim Rhodes, is a central character in Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and a recurring character in its spin-off, “The Suite Life on Deck.” As the single mother of twin boys, Zack and Cody Martin, Carey balances her parental responsibilities with her career as the lounge singer at Boston’s upscale Tipton Hotel.
Born in 1966, Carey discovered her passion for singing during a talent show where she initially intended to perform stand-up comedy. She met her ex-husband, Kurt Martin, during a theater play in 1982, and they had their twin sons in 1993. Following their divorce, Carey secured a more permanent position at the Tipton Hotel, providing a stable home for her family.
Carey is depicted as a wise, patient, and loving mother who occasionally overprotects her sons, much to their chagrin. She often shares anecdotes from her numerous past relationships to impart life lessons, though these stories sometimes lead to groans from Zack and Cody.
