Who is Colonel Jim Bowie?
Jim Bowie is a character in Disney’s “Davy Crockett” television series, which aired in the 1950s. Based on the historical figure, Jim Bowie was a 19th-century American frontiersman, pioneer, and soldier known for his skill with a large hunting knife—later dubbed the “Bowie knife.” In the series, he is portrayed as a friend and ally to Davy Crockett, another legendary figure of the American frontier.
