Who is Don Carlton?
Don Carlton is a character in Pixar’s animated film Monsters University, the prequel to Monsters, Inc. He’s an older, non-traditional student who decides to return to school to pursue his dream of becoming a “Scarer” after a long career in sales.
Don is a round, purple monster with a mustache and tentacle-like arms, and he brings a lot of heart and humor to the story as one of the members of the Oozma Kappa fraternity.
Don is known for his optimism, friendly personality, and occasional awkwardness as he tries to fit in with his much younger classmates. Despite being new to the scarer lifestyle, he becomes a vital part of the Oozma Kappa team, helping Mike and Sulley through their journey at Monsters University.
The character of Don Carlton is voiced by comedian and actor Joel Murray. Known for his distinctive voice and comedic timing, Murray brought a warm, humorous, and fatherly quality to Don, making him a beloved and memorable character in the Monsters, Inc. universe.
