Who is Duffy the Disney Bear?
Duffy the Disney Bear is a Disney merchandise character who made his first appearance in 2002 in the Tokyo DisneySea park.
He is a stuffed bear that was created as a “blank slate” for guests to make their own by adding clothing and accessories. The theme of the bear is that he is a sailor bear, who is being taken on an adventure around the world by his owner, Mickey Mouse.
Duffy is considered to be a friend of Mickey and has his own backstory, friends and adventures. He is popular in Japan and Hong Kong and has his own merchandise, such as clothing, bags and accessories, and even his own meet and greet locations in the Disney theme parks.
