Who is Edgar?
Edgar Peepleson is a lively, inquisitive character from the animated series Vampirina, which airs on Disney Junior.
Edgar is the next-door neighbor and best friend of Vampirina, or “Vee,” the young vampire protagonist. Vee’s family has recently moved from Transylvania to Pennsylvania, and Edgar is one of the first people she befriends.
Though he remains unaware of Vee’s vampire nature, he is a huge fan of the supernatural and paranormal. Edgar loves creating online content and often investigates spooky phenomena, hoping to catch evidence of ghosts, ghouls, or anything out of the ordinary, making him an unwitting risk to Vee’s efforts to keep her family’s true identity a secret. His enthusiasm for the supernatural brings an element of fun and suspense to the show, as his curiosity frequently places him close to uncovering Vee’s vampire background.
The character of Edgar is voiced by actor and comedian Benji Risley. Risley brings a spirited and energetic tone to Edgar, capturing his excitement and sense of wonder about the paranormal.
