Who is Jane Porter?
Jane Porter is a fictional character from the Disney animated film “Tarzan” (1999) and its sequel “Tarzan & Jane” (2002) . She is the love interest of the main character, Tarzan.
Jane is a young woman who is on a research expedition in the African jungle with her father, Professor Archimedes Q. Porter and their guide Clayton. There she meets Tarzan and falls in love with him. She is initially shocked by his appearance and his way of living but soon accepts him.
Jane Porter is portrayed as a strong, intelligent and independent woman who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. The character is voiced by actress Minnie Driver in the films.
