Who is Mary?
In Disney’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book “The BFG” (short for “The Big Friendly Giant”), Mary is a minor character. The film, directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 2016, follows the story of a young orphan named Sophie who befriends a gentle giant.
In the film, Mary, played by Rebecca Hall, is one of the caretakers at the orphanage where Sophie lives. She is a kind and caring figure who looks after the children at the orphanage.
