Who is Moni?

Moni is a supporting character introduced in Disney’s 2024 animated feature film Moana 2. Hailing from the island of Motunui, he is renowned as a passionate storyteller and historian, deeply immersed in the rich oral traditions of his people. Moni’s admiration for the demigod Maui is evident, as he often recounts tales of Maui’s legendary exploits, showcasing his enthusiasm and deep respect for Polynesian mythology.

In Moana 2, Moni becomes an integral part of Moana’s new wayfinding crew, joining alongside characters like Kele and Loto.
