Who is Mrs. Clonkers?
Mrs. Clonkers is a minor character in The BFG (The Big Friendly Giant), a classic children’s story by Roald Dahl that has been adapted into various media, including a 1989 animated film and a 2016 live-action film directed by Steven Spielberg.
Mrs. Clonkers is introduced as the cruel and abusive head of the orphanage where Sophie, the protagonist, lives. She is portrayed as heartless and uncaring, creating a harsh environment that contributes to Sophie’s feelings of loneliness and longing for escape.
