Who is Nate Gray?
Nathan “Nate” Gray is a supporting character in Disney’s Camp Rock franchise, first introduced in the original 2008 Camp Rock television film and its 2010 sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
Within the story, Nate is a member of the fictional pop-rock trio Connect 3, alongside his older brothers Shane and Jason Gray. Nate’s role in the narrative is primarily as a musician and a grounding presence; he is portrayed as more serious and level-headed than his brother Shane, often acting as the voice of reason when Shane’s fame and ego cause conflict. Over the course of the films, Nate contributes as a guitarist and drummer, supports his bandmates, and participates in the group’s involvement with the music camp that gives the series its name.
The character of Nate Gray is portrayed by Nick Jonas, a member of the real-life pop group the Jonas Brothers. In Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2, Nick Jonas appears as Nate, bringing both musical performance and acting to the role.
