Who is Norrington?
James Norrington is a character in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise. He first appears in “The Curse of the Black Pearl” (2003) and reappears in “Dead Man’s Chest” (2006) and “At World’s End” (2007). He is depicted as a former Commodore in the Royal Navy, and is a proud and honorable man who is determined to uphold the law and bring pirate captains to justice. Throughout the films, Norrington is shown to be a complex character who struggles with his own personal demons and his loyalty to the Crown. He is played by actor Jack Davenport.
