Who is Pearl Gesner?
Pearl Gesner is a supporting character in Disney’s Home on the Range, a 2004 animated musical comedy film set in the American West. She is a kind-hearted and hardworking widow who runs the small Patch of Heaven dairy farm, which serves as the central location for much of the movie’s plot.
Pearl is portrayed as deeply caring for her animals, treating them more like family than livestock. Her determination to save her farm from foreclosure drives much of the narrative, as the farm is threatened by a greedy cattle rustler named Alameda Slim, who has been buying up land across the region. Pearl’s devotion inspires her three bovine heroines — Maggie, Grace, and Mrs. Calloway — to band together and help her.
The character of Pearl Gesner was voiced by Carole Cook, a veteran actress known for her extensive work in film, television, and theater.
