Who is Sassy?
Sassy is a character in the 1993 film “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” and its 1996 sequel “Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco.” She is a Himalayan cat owned by a family that lives in the city, and is one of the three main animal characters in the films.
In the first film, Sassy, along with a Golden Retriever named Shadow and an American Bulldog named Chance, embark on a journey through the wilderness to try and find their way back home after becoming separated from their owners. Throughout the film, Sassy provides comic relief with her snarky comments and sarcastic attitude, but also demonstrates bravery and resourcefulness in dangerous situations.
In the sequel, Sassy, Shadow, and Chance are taken in by a family in San Francisco, and get into various adventures and mishaps while trying to adapt to their new surroundings.
Sassy is voiced by actress Sally Field in both films, who provides her with a sassy and humorous personality.
