Who is Violet Parr?
Violet Parr is a central character in Disney-Pixar’s The Incredibles franchise.
Introduced in the 2004 film The Incredibles and its 2018 sequel Incredibles 2, Violet is the teenage daughter of Bob and Helen Parr (Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl). As part of the superhero family, she has unique abilities, including invisibility and creating force fields, which she initially struggles to control but masters over time. Violet is portrayed as an introverted and somewhat awkward teenager, grappling with the challenges of adolescence and the responsibilities of being a superhero. Her character arc includes learning to embrace her powers, her identity, and her confidence.
Violet is voiced by Sarah Vowell, a writer, historian, and voice actress. Vowell, known for her unique voice and her work as a public radio contributor, brought a distinctive personality to Violet. Her portrayal captures Violet’s emotional depth, from her insecurities to her growing strength and bravery.
