Who is Wander?

Wander is the optimistic and kind-hearted protagonist of the animated series “Wander Over Yonder,” created by Craig McCracken. He is a nomadic interstellar traveler whose primary goal is to spread happiness and freedom across the universe. Accompanied by his loyal steed and best friend, Sylvia, Wander embarks on adventures that often involve thwarting the evil plans of villains like Lord Hater and Lord Dominator.

Physically, Wander is an orange-furred being of an indeterminate species, characterized by his large expressive eyes and a signature floppy green hat adorned with a black band and a yellow star. His hat is magical, providing him with whatever he needs at any given moment.

Wander’s personality is marked by boundless energy, unwavering optimism, and a deep-seated desire to help others. He often sees the good in everyone he meets, sometimes to the point of naivety, which can lead him into precarious situations. Despite this, his quick wit and resourcefulness enable him to navigate challenges effectively.

In the series, Wander is voiced by Jack McBrayer, known for his roles in “Wreck-It Ralph” and “30 Rock.”
