Paint the Night Electrical ParadeThe “Paint the Night” Electrical Parade is a vibrant nighttime spectacle that first illuminated Disneyland Park in California, on May 22, 2015, as part of the park’s 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration. This parade is renowned for its innovative use of over 1.5 million LED lights, special effects, and a talented ensemble of nearly 80 performers, bringing to life beloved Disney and Pixar characters.

The parade features a series of dazzling floats, each themed to iconic stories such as “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Toy Story,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” A standout element is the musical score, which seamlessly blends the classic “Baroque Hoedown” with Owl City’s “When Can I See You Again?” This combination pays homage to the original Main Street Electrical Parade while offering a contemporary twist.

After its initial run concluded in September 2016, “Paint the Night” returned for select seasons, including a stint at Disney California Adventure in 2018, where a new “Incredibles” float was introduced to celebrate the opening of Pixar Pier.

In October 2024, Disneyland Resort announced the parade’s much-anticipated return. “Paint the Night” is scheduled to light up Main Street, U.S.A., once again starting May 16, 2025, as a highlight of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary festivities.

This parade continues to captivate audiences with its blend of cutting-edge technology, enchanting music, and timeless storytelling, solidifying its status as a cherished Disney attraction.
