“Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems” is a fighting game based on the Marvel Comics universe. Released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996, the game features a roster of superheroes and villains from the Marvel Universe, including Spider-Man, Captain America, and Doctor Doom, among others.
The game features 2D fighting gameplay similar to “Street Fighter II” and also includes platforming elements. Players must collect gems scattered throughout the game to stop the villainous Thanos from using them to take over the universe.
