Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere

Deliver Me from NowhereSpringsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere (also sometimes referred to simply as Deliver Me from Nowhere) is a 2025 American biographical musical drama directed and written by Scott Cooper, adapted from Warren Zanes’s 2023 book of the same name.

The film stars Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen and focuses on the intimate, turbulent period in Springsteen’s life during the early 1980s as he conceives and records his stark, acoustic album Nebraska.

Rather than tracing the full arc of his life, the story is tightly centered on Springsteen’s retreat-both physically and emotionally-to a house in Colts Neck, New Jersey, after the success of The River.

There, isolated from commercial pressures, he wrestles with creative doubts, family demons, and the competing demands of fame, choosing instead to record Nebraska on a four-track machine in his bedroom.

Supporting cast includes Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father Doug, Odessa Young in a fictional romantic interest role, and Paul Walter Hauser among others.

The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on August 29, 2025, and is scheduled for theatrical release in the U.S. on October 24, 2025.

With its moody, contemplative tone, Deliver Me from Nowhere aims less for spectacle than for emotional truth-showcasing a legendary artist in a rare moment of creative solitude and vulnerability.
